GaGa Black Sheep

Lady Gaga is gaga for...antiques! Excited to have sold a few pieces to her recently for her new penthouse on Central Park South. She selected our striking bronze sculpture of a sheep (think Claude LaLanne) and a great Louis XVI-style porter's chair. She is using Hinson's Martinique wallpaper, too, one of my favorites. David Duncan Antiques Featured in Amy Fine Collins' 1stdibs Saturday Shopping Feature

Thanks to Amy Fine Collins for selecting one of our pieces for her 1stdibs Saturday Shopping feature. I understand that she collects Marcel Vertes pieces, and she chose our pigmented archival print of his original gouache illustration for Schiaparelli's ad campaign for her fragrance Shocking. The ad depicts the words "Shocking" and "Schiaparelli" rendered as sky writing with two winged putti embracing and bound at the feet with a fabric tie, the signature torso-shaped Dali-designed bottle with a pink fur below. Schiaparelli used this rendering for European and American advertising campaigns in the early 1950s. Signed by the artist with signature V.
